The season is a-changing...
A quick reminder: playing pickleball outdoors in Winter becomes impractical due to cold weather.
Staying warm on the court is difficult, and icy conditions can pose a slip and fall hazard. Additionally, snow may cover the outdoor courts, rendering them unplayable. Cold temperatures can also cause pickleballs to become brittle and crack. Another challenging factor is that many of the "public" indoor facilities are fully booked, with zero (or very limited) availability.
So, this year, why not join us indoors for the Bowling Green Winter Pickleball Series?
Beat Old Man Winter
Have you heard the great news? We now have a regular, warm, cozy and safe place to play our beloved sport throughout the Winter.
Thanks to the generosity of Total Fitness Connection, we will be able to play almost every week during the Winter. We have secured exclusive access to two courts in the gymnasium at First Baptist Church, and organized, open-play pickleball will commence.

Details regarding the Bowling Green Winter Pickleball Series...
- Where: First Baptist Gymnasium - 621 East 12th Avenue, Bowling Green, KY 42101 USA
- When: Goes for 12 Weeks, from Monday November 27th, 2023 to Thursday February 22nd, 2024
- Sessions: There will be 2 90-minute sessions. From 4pm-5:30pm Central and 5:30pm til 7pm Central (3 hours total)

Know what you need to know...
What is the format of the Winter Series?
Most nights will be in an open-play format. Occasionally, we will have opportunities for DUPR challenge nights or clinics from certified instructors. These special nights will be noted on the sign-up calendar (PlayTimeScheduler).
Do I need a reservation or can I drop in?
Reservations are preferred. You can reserve your spot here: https://calendly.com/bgpickleball/play. Drop-ins are possible if the session is not full or if players do not show up. Please check the Calendly link above.
How long can I play?
Each night, you’ll have the option to play for 90 minutes (4-5:30 PM or 5:30-7 PM).
How many people are booked on each court?
There are eight spots available for each 90-minute session (4 players per court).
Will I play with players of similar ratings?
Players will be grouped based on skill level to start each night. Players will be encouraged to rotate play with different partners.
What is the cost and how do I pay?
The suggested donation is $5. You can pay cash or check to the donation box each night. Alternatively, you can pay digitally/electronically (Paypal, Venmo, etc.).
Can I prepay?
Yes. You can prepay digitally/electronically.
Do I need to bring my own balls?
Orange Onix Fuse balls will be provided.
What happens if someone reserves a spot and doesn't show up?
If someone reserves a spot but does not show up, their spot will be given to the next onsite player who is available. Drop-ins are the most likely candidates to receive the spot. Furthermore, if a $5 donation has been prepaid, that donation is non-transferable and will be considered forfeited/lost.
